Walking the Path to Yule ~ Day 10

Day 10

“Our gold is not ordinary gold.” ~ An Alchemist’s saying

Today was one of those days that didn’t want to come off of me. Chance conversations with strangers, overheard words and phrases, and even stories on different podcasts grabbed me and brought me out to my far-reaching edges of my early memories. There were flashes of places I haven’t thought about in a long time mixed with echoing synchronicities over the last few weeks. It’s funny how time can move like a spiral.

All of this is part of the process in order to experience the rebirth of Yule, right? The breaking down of our hardened edges, our stubbornness and fear must be recognized in order to be chipped away. Once we have these raw and unfiltered pieces held with care and compassion, we can begin to dissolve. We can begin to see fact from fiction in the clear light of day. By taking responsibility of who and what we are, we can start to separate what no longer serves us. This liberation from the harmful ties that bound us from our true and authentic thoughts, feelings, and actions allows us to begin to see where we once were, where we are presently, and opens up the space to the possibilities of where we can go. Sometimes overwhelming, we can see and feel things we may have suppressed and ignored. What is important to remember at this stage is that the ability to feel and express these thoughts and emotions in a healthy way. We are cognitively opening up ourselves up to our deepest depths and also our unlimited potential. The stillness and silence given to us at this time is of the utmost importance. It allows us the space to venture within and explore our depths.

As we mix in these energies, other processes begin to take place as well. What is released from us begins to fall away. Parts of us may sink deeper, leading us into the dark places of our soul where we can face old patterns and wounds. It is in that space where we can experience the death of long held beliefs and experience the bright new day and way of thinking as we shift our perspective onto healthier ones. As we continue to explore this new way of being, hopefully we will create the needed patterns to continue the process in a strong and beneficial way. And, just as we experience the rebirth of light upon Yule, we too can experience a rebirth. It is a way to come together with our spirit and foster our new path as the sun and light grow within us and outside of us.

So tonight, as you rest in the silent dark, may you hold yourself gently. For it is a long and sacred process to become the golden light that you are.

Be well upon your path,
